Hüsn-i Zindegânî: “Osmanlı Toplumunda Aile Düzeninin Temel Esasları” – Prof. Dr. Mehmet İPÇİOĞLU
Özet
Osmanlı toplumunda düzenin temeli hüsn-i zindegânî adı verilen barış
içinde yaşama ilkesine dayanır. Bu kural baba ile oğul arasındaki ilişkiden
devlet başkanı ile vezir arasındaki ilişkinin düzenlenmesine kadar cemiyetin
hemen her kademesinde cari olan ilişkilerin temel ilkesi olarak karşımıza
çıkar. Ailede ise karı ile koca arasındaki olmazsa olmaz ilkesidir. Hüsn-i
zindegânî adı verilen gündelik hayatta barış, saygı ve hürmeti ifade eden bu
ilkenin ortadan kalkması ilişkilerin bozulması, birlikteliklerin sona ermesi
demektir.
Osmanlı’da aile örf adını verdiğimiz geleneklerle dinin kurallarının
birleşimi ile oluşur. Bu sadece Müslüman aileler için değil geniş Osmanlı
Coğrafyasındaki gayr-i müslim aileler içinde geçerlidir. Örneğin namzed
etmek adı verilen söz ya da nişanlılık dönemi, çeyiz hazırlama geleneği
bunlardan birkaçıdır. Bunların hepsi gündelik hayatta insanların mutluluğu
içindir. Bu mutluluğu devam ettirmek din ve geleneklerin aracılığı ile tesis
edilen bir düzene uyulması ile mümkündür.
Bu çalışmada Osmanlı sosyal hayatının temel kaynakları olan şeriyye sicillerinden
yola çıkılarak Osmanlı toplumunda aile düzeninin esasları tespit
edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Hüsn-i zindegânî denilen gündelik hayatta huzurlu
ve barış içinde yaşamanın aileler açısından hangi esaslara uyularak gerçekleştirildiği,
bu esaslara uyulmadığı taktirde ne gibi sosyal sonuçların ortaya
çıktığı işlenecektir.

Abstract
Thebasis of theorder in the Ottoman Empire is based on the principle of
peace fulco-existencecalled Husn-i zindegânî. Theserules is vaild of therelation
ship between father and son relation ship between Sultan and Vezir regulation
at alllevels of society so that the currentemerges as the basicprinciple
of relations. Between husband and wife in the family is an essential principle.
Husn-i zindegânî called everyday life of peace, respect and reverence for
the disappearance of the serpin ciplesex pressing the deterioration of relations,
is the termination of th eas sociation.
İn the Ottoman Empire, which we called the family traditions of religious
tradition sare formed by the combination of therules. This is not only
for Muslim families in large Ottoman regions in thenon –Muslim families
arevalid. For example, promise orenga gement called to namzed period, prepare
the do wry tradition are some of them. All of the sea refor the people’s
happiness in everyday life. It continues happines sthrough religion and traditions
in order to comply with the facility possible.
Inthisstudy, the main sources of Ottoman social life on the basis of that
ŞERİYYE record in Ottoman society will try to identify the principles of
family order. Husn-i zindeghani called peace ful everyday life and live in
peace for the families, which was carried out in accor dance with the principles
failure to comply with the seguideline ssocial consequencessuch as the
emergence of whatwill be covered.
