Özet
Modernleşme sürecinin birçok alanda meydana getirdiği dönüşüm bugün
de tartışılan hususlar arasındadır. Modernleşme sürecinde ulemanın
dönüşümü ve Divan-ı Harb-i Örfî’nin süreç içerisindeki önemi bu bağlamda
çalışılması gereken konulardandır. Çalışmamızın konusunu ulemanın
19. yüzyıldaki dönüşümü ve bu dönüşümün modernleşme döneminde
aldığı yeni görünümler ile bu görüntülerin Divan-ı Harb-i Örfî’deki izdüşümleri
olarak belirledik. Özel olarak da Bediüzzaman’ın mahkemedeki savunmasına
ve bu savunmanın ulemanın dönüşümü içerisinde nereye tekabül
ettiğine odaklanılmıştır.

The Transformation Of The Ulema In The Modernization Process And The Importance of Divan-ı Harb-i Örfî In The Process
Abstract
The transformation that the modernization process has brought about
in many areas is among the issues discussed today. The transformation of
the ulema in the modernization process and the importance of the Divan-ı
Harb-i Örfî in the process are among the issues that need to be studied in
this context. We determined the subject of our study as the transformation
of the ulama in the 19th century and the new appearances it took during
the modernization period and the projections of these images in the Divan-
ı Harb-i Örfî. In particular, the focus has been on Bediuzzaman’s argument
in the court and where this argument corresponds in the transformation
of the ulema.
