This is the first decade of our periodical started to be published as "a periodical
devoted to thought". Since the spring of 1994, we tried to analyze the important
questions of the society, art, science and thought.

Said Nursi; while he has reached at solutions to the essential problems of humanity,
his the most important reference has been the "reason" undoubtedly; even, by taking
attention to such concepts of Kur'an as "to think", "to reason", "to be aware of",
"to discourse" and "to know", he has put a strong emphasis on the use of the wisdom
of human being. Besides that, he has claimed that the Islamic societies could not
conserve their original and alive quality the period in which there was no importance
of "reasoning" because of the infiltration of external effects causing the social
and cultural deformations. Although he has given "reasoning" a great importance,
he has not ignored "heart" and other senses. As he has told us that the unbelief
comes from the science and knowledge, the defense against those ideas based on unbelief
can be maintained by convince. It has been necessary to use all media for the presentation
all of that collection of intellect but documentaries addressed to the reason, bared
upon evidences, presented by the specific scientific method gained more importance
among them. Here, KÖPRÜ has come to the existence in the framework of the need.

It has aimed at the interpretation of the proposals of Risale-i Nur Collection due
to the essential questions of human being by using a convincing method. It has preferred
the proven and convincing approaches instead of the establishing its work up on
subjective and irrational materials. All subjects has been tried to be handled in
a methodic framework. All of the articles published during this decade had been
prepared by that approach.

We see that every subject has been analyzed from the point of view of "Risale-i
Nur" in the each file published by KÖPRÜ. Each of those files has maintained important
approaches to reach new information (knowledge) and start new "debates". Besides
that, each article has taught us that we have been at the beginning of the study
and, should have worked more hard.

As these articles prepared by scientific approaches have caused new debates about
the Risale-i Nur Collection among readers, have they supported those who has not
known Risale-i Nur yet to have some new knowledge, and to join debates to some extent
by a sharing a common platform. As the conclusion, KÖPRÜ has been the meeting point
among intellectuals and Risale-i Nur readers.

Besides all of those above, KÖPRÜ survives by improving its priority as a "school".
It is realized that its presentation technique will cover all areas of publication.
The improvement of presentation techniques far from subjectivity will clear identity
of "KÖPRÜ" as a school.
